The “Above & Beyond” Staff Recognition Program
What is the “Above & Beyond” Program?
“Above & Beyond” is a program, sponsored by the AHS PTSA, to recognize staff members whose actions on behalf of a student or group of students were “Above & Beyond” the expectations of their jobs. Nominations can be made by students, parents, staff, or anyone else in the school community.
Who should you nominate?
You can nominate any member of the Annandale High School staff who you believe has gone “Above & Beyond” on behalf of one or more students. Nominees can be administrators, faculty, guidance, custodians, safety & security, cafeteria or support staff. We seek nominees who have:
- Provided critical support and guidance in areas such as academics, future plans (work, college, etc.), student self-esteem or student overall well-being; or
- Used an innovative approach that has had a significant positive impact on one or more students; or
- Shown a commitment to a student or group of students that appears to go well beyond the expectations of an individual in his or her position.
How will awardees be selected and recognized?
Members of the AHS PTSA will meet regularly to review nominations (submitted on the form below), and select one or more awardees each quarter. Winners will be recognized by the AHS community for their contributions.
