About the Pantry
The AHS Pantry opened in November 2018 to support the more than 70% of AHS students and their families who experience food insecurity and since that time we have modified our distribution model as needed to meet the changing needs of our students. What we offer:
-
Grab-n-Go student center snack stations
-
Support emergency food needs due to sudden circumstances.
We have community partnerships with Food for Others and Food for Neighbors and are grateful for the resources they provide. Additionally, we appreciate our relationships with local businesses, neighborhoods, civic associations, girl scout troops and churches who hold periodic pantry drives benefiting our pantry.
The pantry is solely supported through monetary and in-kind food donations. Find our needed items list here.

Emergency Assistance
If you are in need of emergency food assistance contact the main office at 703-642-4100 to be directed to a member of the AHS staff who can help or email the pantry.

Volunteer
Sign-up to Help On Distribution Days. Previous experience is not necessary and on-the-job training will be provided! In addition to the volunteers, there will always be a pantry coordinator on site to help. For more information visit the Pantry Distribution Sign-Up Genius.

Pick Up Donations
Do you have an hour to help the pantry one or two afternoons a month? Do you have a SUV or minivan? Our community partner, Food For Others, is providing the Pantry with fresh food items and we need help delivering the items twice a month to the pantry for distribution. For more information visit Food For Others Pick-up Sign-Up Genius.
